Maine Photo Safari: Owls Head Maine

Down the road.......

Owls Head, Maine is without a doubt a photographers dream. Located just south of Rockland, Owls Head is a small fishing village with rugged cliffs, scenic vistas and a working harbor filled with lobster boats.

Our first stop is the Owls Head Lighthouse. It is a short walk, along a dirt road atop rugged cliffs with wonderful scenic views of Penobscot Bay, to reach the lighthouse.

Owls Head Lighthouse is a small tower perched at the top of a rocky bluff surrounded on three sides by Penobscot Bay.
