Rockland OKs Longer Hours for Music at Trackside -- Midcoast Maine

Party On Garth!

 By Stephen Betts

Rockland — The Rockland City Council agreed March 29 to amend the entertainment license for the Trackside Restaurant to allow music to be played beyond 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

The council voted 4-0 (with Councilor Tom Molloy absent) to change the conditions on the license that were imposed March 8.

The council had imposed the 11 p.m. limit on when music could be played after three neighbors to the restaurant complained about noise, vibrations and lights. The Trackside Restaurant is located in the train station at the intersection of Pleasant and Union streets. The station is located in a commercial zone, directly across from residences.
