Lawsuit filed on behalf of man injured in parade float accident

I knew it was just a matter of time.

It's interesting how long it takes to get everything in order, so the lawyers can pounce.

Rockland — A lawsuit was filed last week against the organizers of the annual Maine Heritage Day Parade in Bath on behalf of a St. George man severely injured when a runaway float struck him.
The lawsuit was filed June 16 in Knox County Superior Court on behalf of Mark J. Shapiro. His co-guardians and co-conservators Margaret G. Fields and Esther R. Barnhart filed the suit on his behalf.
Shapiro was the marketing and communications manager for the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath and was at the July 1, 2007, parade to take photographs of the museum's float and distribute brochures about the museum to parade-goers.
